Magadh can supply 20-Hi mills for strip widths up to 1625 mm, minimum finished strip thicknesses up to 0.05 mm, and mill speeds up to 800 MPM. These mills are popular for rolling high tensile ferrous and non-ferrous metal strips, especially wider strips to thinner gauges, more effectively than other mill designs.

20-Hi mills feature mono-block/split housing construction, where the roll separating force is transmitted from the work rolls, through the intermediate rolls, to the multiple backup assemblies, and finally to the housing. This ensures full support of the work rolls throughout their length, minimizing deflection and facilitating close gauge tolerance across the entire width of the strip.

The 20-Hi mill is an economical solution for rolling alloy steels and various grades of stainless steels with close gauge tolerance and a minimal number of passes. The mill design is compact, with hydraulic screw-down and hydraulic motor/cylinder actuated crown control. Lateral adjustment is provided at the first intermediate rolls, while the mill drive is connected through the second intermediate rolls. Roll changing is simple, foundation costs are reduced, and smaller roll grinders are required for the grinding of work and intermediate rolls.
